Our hostel was in Haeondae area which is a famous beach area in Korea. It's one of the richest places outside of Seoul. Lots of Audis, Beamers, and Benzes driving around. The hostel was really corporate. Key deposit, had to sign a paper, stuff like that. Comfortable enough though. We were pretty hungry, so we went to a place called Wolfhound that was supposedly good. It was alright, I had Toad in the Hole but that's pretty hard to mess up (it's sausage and mashed potatoes). The chicken wings were small and my double vodka water tasted like a single. I usually get pretty strong drinks in Korea so this kind of sucked. The Korean guy didn't like his fish and chips at all but they were ok, just not to his taste.
Next we got some Korean food and drank some soju. Looking back this is where it all started. But that's usually how interesting nights start, with a lot of soju. It was around 9 PM by the time we finished and we wanted to go to a club but it was early. Instead we went to Texas street, which is the foreigner street of Busan. It's kind of like Itaewon in Seoul. But unlike Itaewon, which has one district called "Hooker Hill," at night time Texas Street basically turns into hooker hill. Nothing but juicy bars and Russian girls walking around. After eating at another restaurant and having a lot more soju and beer, we started walking around. My friend owed me from my birthday in Seoul, so we went to a juicy bar with a bunch of Filipina girls. My girl was pretty nice but we weren't there long. I don't like juicy bars, they're a waste of money. We tired of that pretty quickly and left.
We went to this club called Hive. They had three go go girls dancing there that night. It was crazy, one of the better clubs I've been to. Crowded, but plenty of room to dance, and everyone was having fun. I was pretty drunk but my friend was in another world. He actually fell asleep in a club, which was impressive. The girls were pouring drinks into guys mouths it was really cool. I ended up eating off someone else's fruit plate because I was so thirsty. We left about 4:30 because I had danced so much.
The next day we had to check out at 11 AM sharp. Not sure what to do, we went to the beach. It was a beautiful day and actually kind of warm. We just chilled there for a while before going to the worlds largest department store. I've been to Herrods in England but this place in Busan is MASSIVE. It's got 12 floors. It's so big it has a park, ice rink, Madame Tussaud's, and a cinema inside. We spent a lot of time there. I actually got a sandwich on rye bread which was really cool. Don't think I'll be able to get that in many other places. Since I'm kind of broke the only thing I bought was a Korean textbook I've been looking for. We left Busan around 6 or 7. Here's a bunch of pictures and bonus videos of the dancing girls.
Tiniest chicken wing i've ever seen
Oldboy style
Texas street
I put a dollar in the juicy bar. I'm long dong wong
Every club should have that
I told the Korean girl working here that this was my twin and she laughed in my face :(
This park is on top of the store!
Below is a strange arrangement of departments...
