We made plans to meet up on Saturday. But fortunately, due to the snow, my classes were cancelled on Friday, so I got to go a day early. Unfortunately for me, the bus ride ended up taking an extra hour to get there. I checked into my hostel a day early, drank some with the owner. He's a really cool guy, it's Dustins Hostel in Hongdae. We drank Makgeoli (Korean rice wine) and beer. It was great. I met my friend at 11, and we went to Ho Bar. This time it was Ho Bar II, and she said we were going to meet her friends, who were drinking at another persons place. They came after about a half hour and we were going to a club. Instead, we just got really drunk. They had shots of Absolut for 2500 won! So the club didn't happen. But I had a good time anyway, just dancing and such. I ended up going home at about 3 AM, which is kind of early for Seoul.
The next day, my friend was hungover and wasn't doing anything. Friday night ended up being the last time I saw her in Korea :( Hopefully she comes back soon! I had been talking to my recruiter since I got here sometimes, and she said we would get chicken and beer together. She wasn't able to the last time, but this time she was showing another recruit around Seoul, and said we could meet up. We met up near Itaewon. Had some amazing Jamaican style chicken, juicy and succulent and a little beer. Then we went to a Korean BBQ place. The other teacher hadn't really been to one before. Due to living in Samcheonpo, I have been to these places a lot of times, so it wasn't new to me. We started drinking Soju and beer, which is killer! The other teacher was texting some English girl, and she said she was at another Ho Bar (Ho Bar III) We went there, and he left with the girl. I'm such a good matchmaker.
I hung out with my recruiter some more, she tried to find me some girls but it wasn't happening. It was pretty cold, and she left at about 1 AM. I tried to get a tattoo, but the place was closed, which is pretty lucky for me. Back at the hostel, I asked for some beer and drank with Dustin and this Hong Kong girl I had met the day before that was also staying there. I was pretty drunk at that point. The next day, they were surprised I wasn't hungover but Korea has built up my tolerance considerably. The next day, I was going to get lunch with my friend but it didn't happen, so I went to Itaewon and bought some western food and had a curry before leaving. It was quite a good weekend overall.
